About Us

¡Hola amigos! My name is David Issokson. My adventures with Spanish started in the tenth grade where my French teacher let me audit Spanish class during my study hall. Without even really trying, one thing led to another and I’ve become really into speaking and learning Spanish.

Since the tenth grade my methods for learning Spanish have mostly included watching TV (I LOVE Mexican soap operas!) and simply practicing with the Spanish speakers in my community.

On a recent trip to Mexico (May 2023), I decided to create this website when it dawned on me that Spanish is the KING of all foreign languages due to its usefulness in so many countries in the Western hemisphere and especially right here in the United States.

The goal of this website is to provide a useful reference for learning the fundamentals of the Spanish language, including verbs, grammar and vocabulary.

DavidSpanish.com is not a learn Spanish fast “in 30 days” website. Our objective is to offer useful explanations of the inner workings of the language which will help you to build a foundation upon which you can eventually achieve fluency.

In addition to this website, I also own and operate the site Frenchlearner.com. I set up French Learner in 2012 and it’s not a leading online resource for learning about French language and culture.
